The Family Caregivers Alliance of Rhode Island conference will provide free resources, tools and community connections for caregivers. Topics will range from self-care, tips for stress management, getting a break through respite, strategies for caring for your loved one with a dementia or Alzheimer’s diagnosis, to understanding how to access programs and effectively communicating with community based organizations.
If you help an older family member or friend with daily activities such as cleaning, personal care, shopping trips, or doctor’s appointments; if you are grandparent who became a primary caregiver to your grandchildren, a parent caring for a child with special needs; or if you are a professional seeking to better understand the unique needs of our caregiving community and learn tips to improve your models of care, we invite you to join us!
Breakfast and Lunch will be served for all attendants. Spanish, Portuguese and ASL translators available.
