OUR WORK
Volunteer Center
The Volunteer Center is an online platform that allows local nonprofits to connect with Rhode Islanders interested in volunteering. The Center is currently used by more than 75 nonprofits and thousands of volunteers throughout the Ocean State.
211
Last year, 211 answered 181,373 calls, connecting Rhode Islanders with food, housing, addiction recovery services, and more. With support from Citizens Bank, 211 continues to partner with The POINT and visit communities throughout the state in its Outreach RV.
MyFund
MyFund is our free, online philanthropy platform that makes giving to your favorite charities quick, easy, and secure. Now, donating to more than one charity is easier than ever: search our database, click to send a gift, and print the statement... it's that simple.
Volunteer Income
Tax Assistance Program
More than 21,000 Rhode Islanders have received free tax preparation services through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, resulting in $27,000,000 being returned to their pockets.
In partnership with Citizens Bank, we've invested $221,380 in VITA, a program that helped Rhode Islanders save more than $5,800,000 in tax preparation fees last year alone.
Hasbro Summer
Learning Initiative
Last year, 1,058 Rhode Island youth, spanning 9 communities and 13 sites, took part in the Hasbro Summer Learning Initiative, a program with a curriculum that emphasizes service learning.
In partnership with Hasbro, Inc., we've provided an innovative solution to summer learning loss, in the form of 210 hours of civic-minded programming that promotes community and citizenship.
Rhode Island
Afterschool Network
The Rhode Island Afterschool Network advocates for children across the state to ensure that they have access to quality afterschool and summer learning programs.
In addition, they encourage collaborations between schools and communities to ensure that the social, emotional, and academic needs of children are being met.

MEET OUR SUPPORTERS
When Rhode Islanders are passionately engaged in the communities they call home, we all get results. These groups lead the charge, strengthening our state through giving and volunteerism.
Young Leaders Circle participated in 12 events last year where they gave, advocated, and volunteered to help our neighbors.
And since 2011, they've given more than $900,000 to United Way of Rhode Island.
Women United: Leading the Charge, Inspiring the Change.
Dedicated to childhood literacy, Rhode Island's Women United invested more than $135,000 in literacy and education programs last year. Since 2012, they’ve given more than $4.7 million to UWRI.
Last year, we partnered with 2,051 volunteers and 77 companies to deliver 4,926.5 hours of service, worth $132,129.
The result? We were able to distribute 30,020 books, 259 literacy kits, and 40,008 meals to our neighbors.
